Who was Queen Elizabeth II? And what was the cause of her death? passed away

Elizabeth Alexandra, formerly known as Queen Elizabeth II, recently passed away. News of her passing generated headlines across the globe. She was born on April 21, 1926, and passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96 and in peace at her castle. She has reportedly been ill for some time.

She assumed the throne of the United Kingdom on 6 February 1952, beginning the longest reign of any British monarch at 70 years and 214 days.

Journey of being Queen Elizabeth II

Elizabeth’s journey has been quite remarkable. She was born to the Duke and Duchess of York in London. Her parents soon became the king and queen, and because she was the oldest child, she was given the chance to reign on the throne in 1936 when her brother King Edward VIII abdicated.

 As a child, she did not have permission to go to a public school as normal kids do. She received private home education. when she was still in school, the world war happened.

After completing her education, as per traditions, she got married to former Greek and Danish royal Philip Mountbatten in November 1947 and five years later her marriage she ruled the British throne. 

It was a happy marriage that lasted for 73 years. the couple together has four children including  Charles III.

“We deeply lament the loss of a beloved mother and revered sovereign,” Charles declared.

He stated that he and his children would be “comforted and sustained by our knowledge of the respect and profound affection in which the Queen was so widely held” 

Queen Elizabeth II visited India Thrice 

Queen Elizabeth visited India thrice during her reign. after India got independence she visited for the first time in 1961  returned twenty years later in 1983, and made her final trip there with her late husband, the late Prince Phillip of the Duke of Edinburgh, in 1997.
