Who is Beverly Chapell?

Born on June 25, 1930, Beverly Jeanne Rosene Chapell, popularly known as Beverly Chapell, was the founder of Dougy center. 

Before becoming a founder of the Dougy Center, she was a registered nurse. After attending Allen Chapel in 1952, she became a stay-at-home mom. During that time, she founded the Dougy center in 1982, which has helped more than 55,000 grieving families from Portland. 

Sadly Beverly passed away on September 30 at the age of 92. Beverly was survived by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. 

Beverly Chapell with a vision to help grieving kids and families:

Beverly Chappell was a stay-at-home mom until she met Dougy Turno. Dougy was a 13-year-old with a brain tumor whom she met at the Oregon Health and Science University. When she realized kids like Douggy who are not allowed to see or speak about death and are left alone to grieve and needed consolation, she decided to open Dougy center in 1982, whose vision is to support grieving children and families before and after death.

It was recently announced that Dougy Center’s founder passed away peacefully in her sleep on September 30. However, the reason behind her death is not known 

Cause of Beverly Chapells death:

The exact cause behind her death is not disclosed to the public. However, according to the reports, Beverly passed away peacefully in her sleep. 

The memorial service of Beverly Chapell will take place on January 14, 2023, at 2 pm at Lynchwood Christian church. Those who wish to send flowers can instead donate to the Dougy center or the Lynchwood Christian Church.
