Candidates, who appeared for the UPTET 2019 examination, can check their result on the official website through candidate login by entering their roll number, date of birth and captcha code. The result page will have candidate’s basic information like name, registration number, qualifying status, total marks, subject-wise/sectional marks and rank.
The UPTET 2019 exam, which was to be held on December 22, was postponed to January 8, 2020 after the state witnessed protests in several areas against the Citizenship Amendment Act, 2019.
The UPTET Exam was conducted in two shifts — for primary stage (Class I -V) the exam was conducted in the morning shift from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm and for the High Primary Stage (Class VI-VIII) was held in the afternoon shift from 02:30 pm to 05:00 pm.
Around 16 lakh 58 thousand candidates appeared in the UPTET written examination this year. The examination was conducted at 1986 centres across the state.
The Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Board (UPBEB) is the exam conducting body of the Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UPTET).
Steps to check UPTET 2019 result on the official website
1) Log on to the UPTET official website –
2) Click on the “Result” link, given in the right bottom of the page.
3) Enter your Registration Number / Roll Number and Captcha.
4) Now, click on the Login button to view the result on the screen.
5) Download your result and take a printout for future use.
The result will be valid for a period of five years from the result declaration date. Candidates can appear as many times to improve their scores. Minimum pass percentage for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 55% i.e., they need to score minimum 82 marks out of 150 while for unreserved category and EWS candidates the pass percentage is 60%. They need to get at least 90 marks out of 150 to be declared UP TET qualified.
Only the candidates who qualify in UPTET 2019 exam will be given UPTET Eligibility Certificate. The UPTET scores can be used to apply for a teacher’s job in the state. The candidates need to collect their certificates from the District Education Board office. For collecting their certificates, candidates would be required to submit their photocopies of their Admit Card and Photo Identity proof.
About UPTET exam
UPTET examination is conducted by UP Basic Education Board. As per the RTE Act, Teacher Eligibility Test is mandatory for anyone who wishes to take up teaching jobs in the state. Candidates can appear for UPTET Paper I and II for classes 1 to 5 and then for 6 to 8. To qualify the examination, candidates are required to score a minimum of 60% marks. Qualifying UPTET, however does not guarantee a job. On average, over 15 lakh candidates appear for the UPTET exam every year.
