In the festival, students exhibited working models based on the theme “high-tech farming”. More than 3000 students from various parts of the state and country participated in the festival showcasing their talent in the technical & non technical events. The festival was inaugurated by Hanumant Gaikwad, Chairman & MD BVG India Group and others.
Various events such as Agro-fest, Cad War, Lathe War, Startup Projects, Dowsing, Project Competition, Hi-flyer, Model Making, Film Making, Robo Wrestling etc. were held in the three day event. ‘In his inaugural speech Hanumant Gaikwad addressed the students and advised them to assimilate innovative ideas in the technological field for the development of our country. He also expressed his view of standardization of engineering education in India. Students need to further educate their family members and people in their immediate surroundings in this regard,’ said the official release from the institute.
The first prize was won by Yuga Kadam and team from College of Engineering Pune for their project ‘seed the rise’ under Agrofest category. Students from Pandharpur, Nasik, Nagpur, Ahmednagar, Pune, Satara, Sangli etc. also received awards & cash prizes for various events.
