The next talk is scheduled to be held on Friday, February 7 at 6:30pm on ‘Space weather and space climate’ to be delivered by Sarah Gibson, High Altitude Observatory at Lecture Hall, Balan Science Centre, IISER, Pune.
All these talks are being held around the ‘5th Asia Pacific Solar Physics Meeting’ which is happening at Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA). The meet started on February 3 and will end on February 7 and is being jointly organised by the Inter-University Centre for Astronomy and Astrophysics (IUCAA), Pune and the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune.
The following areas in the solar astrophysics are being covered in the meeting-facilities for solar astronomy; present and future plans, solar magnetic field; generation, evolution and impact on solar irradiance; MHD processes in the solar atmosphere flare; CMEs and space weather including interplanetary B-field; origin and acceleration of solar wind; big data challenges for solar physics.
