Born in 1929 in Winnipeg, Manito, Phyllis was the daughter of a WW 1 veteran and customs agent. She was raised with three brothers and a sister. She married her husband, William Bill Nelson Fox, in 1950 and was blessed with six children, one of whom was Michael Fox, a Canadian actor.
She was a devoted mother to her kids and a believer in social service. She and her son Michel spread awareness for diabetes and Parkinson’s patients. She also took part in many service organizations and causes, including the order of Amaranth.
On September 24, Phyllis took her last breath at 92. The news of her death was announced two weeks later by her son Michael Fox at the 2022 New York Comic Con
