‘One Nation Reading Together’ activity held by Amritsar school students

AMRITSAR: Students of Spring Dale Senior School joined their counterparts across the nation in an activity titled ‘One Nation Reading Together’ aimed at promoting the habit of reading books among the youth to emerge as effective future leaders. The activity aimed at nurturing a love for books in the hearts of the students.

Led by Harneet Kaur Bubber, vice principal, (administration) and Guneet Arora vice principal (academics), the students also took a pledge to make reading an indispensable part of their lives so as to become an asset for the society that they live in.

While informing media persons about the activity Rajiv Kumar Sharma, Principal said that the students sat in a ‘Reading Is Fun’ formation during the activity.

“This activity is held annually to enable students to understand the importance of inculcating a habit of reading. One Nation Reading Together is a nationwide initiative in which millions of children, parents and teachers around the country spend a day celebrating the importance and enjoyment of reading,” he said.
