NJ Yasaswy memorial lecture held at IBS Pune

PUNE: ICFAI Business School, Pune hosted 8th Shree NJ Yasaswy Memorial Lecture recently. Founder director Prof Jyoti Tilak in her welcome address narrated memories of Shri Yasaswy and the journey of ICFAI Business School from 1995. NJ Yasaswy was a great leader, brilliant teacher and a man with futuristic vision, said Tilak in a statement issued by IBS.

The occasion was graced by two prominent business leaders including Ramaswamy Narayanan, advisor to Global Centers of Excellence and Robin Banerjee, Managing Director at Caprihans India Limited, Col Ram Gopal and Prof Soumitra Samaddar of IBS, Pune.

Robin Banerjee highlighted importance of ethical values, corporate governance in India. He insisted that for a person to be successful and to face the world, he/she has to possess certain set of skills called the fourth principle which is termed as finance, operations, unique selling proposition, risk management, technology and human resource. Ramaswamy highlighted that evolution of technology is driven entirely by consumer behavior. Change of technology will disrupt some job roles while creating several new ones. The need of the hour is continuous learning and developing several competencies such as creativity, critical thinking and people management to succeed.

The evening ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shirish Jeble followed by high tea session for all the dignitaries, guests and students who graced the occasion.
