NEET 2020 application process begins; check how to apply & documents required

NEW DELHI: National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the application process for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (UG) 2020 on its official website today i.e. December 2, 2019.

The last date to submit online applications for NEET (UG) 2020 up to December 31, 2019 (11.50 pm). The eligible candidates can apply online for NTA NEET (UG) 2020 through the official portal of NTA NEET —

The fees can be paid only online up to January 1, 2020. NTA has scheduled to conduct the NEET (UG) 2020 on May 3, 2020, from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm. The admit card for the same would be released on March 27, 2020.

Fee Payable by Candidate

Candidates need to pay the application fee as mentioned below. It is to be noted that the processing charges and Goods and Services Tax (GST) are to be paid by the candidate, as applicable.

How to apply for NEET (UG) 2020 and Documents required

Candidates can follow the steps given below to apply online for NEET (UG) 2020.

Step 1:

Apply for online registration using your or parent’s unique email ID and mobile number.

Step 2:

Fill in the online application form carefully and note down the system generated application number.

Step 3:

Upload scanned images of your latest passport size photograph (size: 10 kb to 200 kb), Postcard size photograph (4”X6”) (Size: 50 kb – 300 kb) and your signature (file size: 4kb – 30kb), Left hand thumb impression (file size: 10 kb-50 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. (In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, right-hand thumb impression can be used.), Class X passing certificate (file size: 100 kb to 400 kb) in JPG/JPEG format. For photography, the focus needs to be on face (80% face coverage, ears visible, on white background).

Step 4:

Pay the fee using SBI/Syndicate/HDFC/ICICI/Paytm Payment Gateway through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net-banking/UPI and keep proof of application fee paid safely for future reference. In case the Confirmation Page is not generated after payment of fee then the transaction is cancelled, and the amount will be refunded to the candidate’s account. However, the candidate has to make another transaction of fee, in case the Confirmation Page is not generated.

Candidates are advised to download, save and print copies of the confirmation page after successful remittance of fee and keep copies safely for future reference.
