The award function will be held at the mini auditorium, near Boat Club, College of Engineering, Pune. The function is scheduled for Saturday, January 18 at 5 pm and is open for all. The program is organised jointly by the Alumni Association of College of Engineering Pune and CoEP.
‘Gupta has been chosen for his valuable contribution to the construction of bridges in the country. After receiving his award will deliver a lecture on the topic “Elevated and Underground Metro for Connect between people”. This award is given in the memory of S B Joshi who was 1927 alumnus of the College of Engineering Pune. He framed the rules, regulations, clauses and codes of Indian Road Congress for our benefit,’ said the official notification.
Established in the year 1993, Alumni Association of COEP is registered as a charitable educational trust. Eleven alumni from different fields are on the governing body of the association.
‘A separate corpus of Rs 13 lakh is developed for SB Joshi Memorial Award which is cited to one outstanding person in the field of Bridge and Structural Engineering. The award consists of cash, citation, and memento,” says the official website of the alumni association of CoEP.
