The Delhi High Court on Saturday granted Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez, who is under investigation by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) for money laundering, permission to travel abroad.
According to the information on Sunday, Delhi Court Judge Praveen Singh says that From 31 May 2022 to 6 June 2022, travel permission is granted to Abu Dhabi, UAE and for this period, the LOC issued against this applicant stands suspended.”
The court ordered that “the applicant will have to deposit an FDR of Rs 50 lakh and also give an undertaking that in the event of his non-repayment, the FDR will be suspended and will also provide a surety of Rs 50 lakh, the applicant shall deposit the same.” The itinerary, the place of stay and the number at which he can be contacted. On his return, the applicant shall inform the investigating agency about his return,” the court said, imposing conditions.
Ajit Singh, the lawyer for Jacqueline Fernandez, gave a statement in court regarding the actress. He said, “Jacqueline Fernandez is a well-known actress in Bollywood. “The Enforcement Directorate has not named the applicant as an accused in the case. However, instead of assigning any reason to the applicant, it has issued a Look Out Circular (LOC) against her.
