According to representatives from the university, the meet also aimed to bridge the gap between academia and industry by exploring, innovating and sharing knowledge and practices.
The session had been organised for the third and final year engineering students of Dr DY Patil Technical Campus and Ajeenkya DY Patil University. Over 250 students participated in the meet.
Among the speakers who addressed the students during the meet were Niraj Kapre from Capgemini India, Sunil Rajput from Accenture, Upendra Tiwari from Mahindra CIE Automotive Limited, Nitansha Neha from Lisa Home Solutions Limited, Radhika Gaur from Hexaware Technologies, Preeti Sakhare from Tata Motors Limited and Amol Nitave who is ESD programme lead for RPG Foundation.
The representatives stated that the speakers dwelled on subjects like importance and significance of emerging and demanding technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), robotics, mobility and cloud. “They also touched upon job prospects for these technologies in the current market scenario. The speakers also shared with students the detailed hiring process,” they said.
College principal MZ Shaikh and Ashok Kasnale presided over the function while training and placement officer Shweta Sharma explained the objectives of the day-long meet to the gathering.
