According to his wife, Robin, Stoker died of renal failure on his birthday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. “His transition was lovely,” she remarked.
Austin Stoker, the star of Assault on Precinct 13, Austin Stoker died at the age of 92. The Trinidadian-American actor reportedly deceased peacefully and was surrounded by his loved ones at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Robin Stoker, Stoker’s wife of 43 years, announced his death on her own Facebook page Monday evening. In her eulogy, Robin referred to Austin as “the love of my life.”
In another tribute, actor, and director Bill Duke referred to Stoker as “one of Hollywood’s underappreciated actors” and wished his family well.

Stoker began acting at 11 after being born and reared in Port-of-Spain, Trinidad. He joined The Whitehall Players when he was 16, and four years later, he travelled to New York City to join the dancing ensemble Holder Dance Company.
Stoker was later drafted by the United States Army and was honourably released after his service. However, he continued to train as an actor, and one of his earliest television appearances was in the 1969 series Mod Squad.
