Aryans College of Pharmacy gets new principal

CHANDIGARH: Renowned pharmacist, Dr. Shruti Sawraj Walia recently joined as Principal at Aryans College of Pharmacy, Rajpura, near Chandigarh. Dr. Shruti has earned name both in Research and Development of Pharmaceutical industry and academics during her experience of last 16 years. Dr Shruti while speaking said, “I am happy and excited to work in Pharmacy Department of Aryans wherein, the students possess an innovative approach and need polishing their skills to emerge as better pharmacists”

Dr. Anshu Kataria welcomed Dr. Shruti in Aryans Group and said that with the passage of time, Aryans has started hiring renowned and experienced academicians, researchers and industry experts to improve the quality of Education in Aryans. He added that Aryans has started Aryans College of Pharmacy 2 years back and got over overwhelmed response from the students.

It is to be mentioned that Dr. Shruti has done M-Pharmacy and Doctorate in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Panjab University, Chandigarh in year of 2011. She has worked in Pharmaceutical Company Ind-Swift Laboratories Limited, Dera Bassi in R&D and has enough knowledge of Pharmaceutical Research. She has handled full projects from Laboratory to Pilot plant and then to Plant scale of drugs Ezetimibe, Clopidogrel besylate, Quetiapine fumarate, Aripiprazole, Glimepiride.

She has been awarded fellowship from University Grant Commission (UGC), New Delhi for the project entitled, “Design, synthesis and evaluation of NSAIDs-Antoxidant codrugs”. Ind-swift Laboratories, Dera Bassi has awarded her special contribution awards for developing drug ezetimibe (> 99% pure) and drug Clopidogrel besylate.
