Agri graduates trained with entrepreneurship skills

DHARAMSHALA: In Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University at Palampur, the agri-graduates were trained with entrepreneurial skills. Workshop for this pupose was organized under the banner ‘Development of Soft Skills for Entrepreneurship among Agri-graduates’ on Thursday.

Prof Ashok Kumar Sarial, Vice-Chancellor, while addressing the students from the constituent colleges of the University, underlined the need to equip the graduates with requisite knowledge and skills to become successful entrepreneurs.

Director of Research Dr.D.K. Vatsa, Dean College of Agiculture Dr.Ashwani Basandrai, Dean College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Dr Mandeep Sharma, Professor Emiretus Drs J. S. Guleria, besides experts from seed companies, banks and successful agri- graduates also addressed the students.

Drs. N. K. Sankhyan and Anil Kumar, workshop coordinators informed that the workshop was organized in collaboration with National Academy of Agricultural Research and Management, Hyderabad under National Higher Education Project.

Agri graduates trained with entrepreneurship skills

Around 100 students from agriculture, veterinary, food technology and home science were appraised about central and state startup schemes, innovations and startup- experiences and challenges, entrepreneurship and economic perspective, start-up for young entrepreneurs, etc and their questions about such topics were answered by the experts.
